5 out of 5 stars Great so far   September 1, 2010

Have only used it once cooking a brisket but it turned out great. Doesn't get too hot which seemed to be a problem with older models. I was worried after I ordered it that it might be too small, but size is perfect. Plenty of room to cook and not such a big clunker to store. Looks nice too.

5 out of 5 stars Great slow cooker!   August 15, 2010

I guess you would have to say that I am a novice slow cooker but I have made so many things in this slow cooker from spaghetti to ribs. I love how convenient it is to simply throw all the ingredients in the morning and when you come home at night, it is all done and ready to serve. I looked at some of the "higher end" models and had no idea what some of the features meant! If you want a basic slow cooker that works, this is the one for you!

5 out of 5 stars A slow cooker that really works!   August 8, 2010
P. C. Wood (San Jose, CA)
I read the reviews of many slow cookers ("crock pots") when I was buying this for my wife to replace our ancient "crock pot". I read about the lack of temperature control, the broken lid handles, the overcooked food, the noise, etc. I decided to buy a little higher end product, and the Cuisinart PSC-350 has not disappointed us. It has a very low "warm" setting, that can be set to keep the food warm after the cooking cycle - and it really works, not boiling or overcooking the food. The programmable settings are easy to use and very effective in preparing a wide variety of recipes. Plus, the slow cooker seems well made, does not leak steam or condensate, and looks nice too. Of course, the cermic pot comes out for cleaning, and the knob has not broken off (of course it might if it was dropped on the floor!). Very pleased with this purchase.

1 out of 5 stars Not very happy with this one!   August 7, 2010

Well - I used this cooker three or four times and it never did work to my satisfaction. On low, the meat did not get done as well as it did in my old Crock Pot - you know - falling off the bone. To remedy this, when I attempted to use it last week I started out on high with the plan to lower it later in the day to low. When I came back a couple of hours later, it was throwing a message that said ERR - never a good sign! I unplugged it, let it sit an hour, which is what they said at Cuisinart I should do (after taking all the food out of it of course) plugged it back in and tried again - same problem! I finally moved all the food into my old crock pot - which luckily I had saved - and was able to rescue dinner! Cuisinart wanted me to pay for shipping back to them (a fortune for something this heavy!) plus 10 dollars to send me a new one - and this one was defective! That did not make me happy or sound like good customer relations to me! Amazon however was great! They credited my account the 49 dollars (but not the 12 shopping which is another story) so I am almost back to where I was - only minus a crock pot I can trust. I don't know if this particular one was just a dud - but I would not buy another one of these! Now I have to go on the search for a workable crock pot once again! Bummer...

Cuisinart PSC-350 3-1/2-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker is just the right size for two or three people and the quality of Cuisinart is again evident in this product. I like it
